Girls’ Cross Country looks forward to sections

The Benilde-St. Margaret’s Girls’ Cross Country team started the season with an impressive 3rd place finish at Anoka High School, and recently have been consistently placing 6th through 8th in their last few meets. “I think this year we’ve been doing a lot better than last year. We got a lot of really good new people this year which has definitely pushed us to work harder in practice as well as made us better in races,” said senior runner Caitlin Hood. “Although there does seem to be a lot more injuries this year as well, I think more than three people have shin splints right now and a lot of others are getting sick. Hopefully that all pans out by the time sections come along.”
