Twelve seniors commit to college athletics

On the morning of November 13, twelve seniors signed the National Letters of Intent to formally commit to their colleges. The soon-to-be college athletes committed to a wide variety of sports including lacrosse, softball, hockey, baseball, and volleyball.

The signing celebration was held in the Atrium where coaches, family members, and teachers gathered to congratulate the students and wish them luck with their future.

  • Sarah Houlihan committed to the University of St. Thomas for softball
  • Maitland Luksan committed to Youngstown State University for lacrosse
  • Jack Keller committed to York College of Pennsylvania for lacrosse
  • Logan Gelling committed to Illinois-Wesleyan University for lacrosse
  • Kalam Storrs committed to Florida Southern College for lacrosse
  • Jack Van Overbeke committed to Highpoint University for lacrosse
  • Seamus Foley committed to Georgetown University for lacrosse
  • Jack Budniewski committed to Colgate University for lacrosse
  • Blake Mahmood committed to Tulane University for baseball
  • Nate Schweitzer committed to Colorado College for hockey

“I am happy now that I am done with the college process and it made me feel like I was jumping for joy the second I signed my name,” senior Kalam Storrs said as he formally made his commitment to Florida Southern College for lacrosse. 

“It was surreal,” senior Rose Beeman expressed as she completed signing her letters for the University of Wisconsin-Superior for hockey. “When I toured Superior, I knew it was the one and now it feels secure.”
