The girls’ basketball team was able to extend their winning streak to three games and forge to an overall record of 14-7 following their win over St. Louis Park. The team handily won 62-27 on Tuesday, February 10 with senior captain Sydney Liebl leading the team scoring with 19 points. The Red Knights began the scoring early in the game going on a 14-1 run until the Orioles defense was able to materialize.

The Red Knights defense capitalized on the Orioles offensive mistakes and were able to force many turnovers which led to the growing point deficit along with overall with strong defense that didn’t allow for the Orioles to formulate much of an offense and kept their scoring opportunities limited. On the other end of the court, the Red Knights offense was led by Liebl scoring 19 and senior captain Azzaria Jackson-Sherrod scoring 16 points. “I thought we played really well as a team and we shared the ball really well and we were fortunate enough that our shots were going in and we were all on,” senior captain Gretchen Sattler said.
