Boys hockey kicks season off with a win

The BSM Boys’ Hockey team won their season opener on the road by blowing out the East Ridge Raptors, 7-1 on Tuesday, November 25.  Senior captain Mark Kaske scored the first game of the goal to put the Red Knights ahead in the first period, 1-0.  After an East Ridge goal, their lone one of the game, junior Jacob Holmers put BSM back on top for good to make it 2-1 in the first period.  The second period saw four Red Knight goals, with sophomore Luke Horton and seniors Carter Roo and Will Duda all scoring in the first half of that period.  In addition, junior Cade Gleekel added another goal in the second half of that period to put the Red Knights ahead 6-1.  Sophomore Connor Mayer added a final goal early in the third period to give BSM the easy win, 7-1.
