During the week of September 29-October 5, the BSM swim team had three meets, one of which was an invitational in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. The team lost to Breck on Tuesday by a score of 74-96, but rebounded by blowing out Bloomington Kennedy 124-52 on Thursday. This was followed by a short trip into Wisconsin to play in the Cedarburg High School invitational, where they finished fourth out of ten teams. Junior Grace Hedin impressed in each of the three meets with a 2nd place finish in 50 yard free during the Breck meet, a 1st place finish in the 100 yard butterfly and a 2nd place finish in the 100 yard backstroke against Bloomington Kennedy, and finally, a 3rd place finish in the 100 yard freestyle in the Cedarburg invitational. Hedin has been on the varsity team since freshman year and her experience as a swimmer has certainly been evident throughout the year. Because of her performances in the water she has been rightfully named BSM Athlete of the Week for September 29-October5.
