The Benilde-St.Margarets football team lost in a heartbreaking fashion to De La Salle, a team also in section 6AAAA, on Thursday, October 2. De La Salle’s offense picked apart Benilde’s defensive back field end to end; Their superior speed proved to be a problem for the Red Knights’ defense, and the offense was unable to make up for the 63 points scored by the other team. The final score of the game was 63-31. Even though the Red Knights lost, their special teams were a highlight of the game; the Floyd brothers, Ricky and Jalen, both returned kick-offs for touchdowns.
