As the end of September draws near, Math League is now underway. Math League is a club for students who are interested in competing and pursuing excellence in mathematics to join.

This year, Benilde-St. Margaret’s is competing in a new Interstellar Math Competition. “It is a nationwide contest that has approximately 500 schools. This morning we scrimmaged against a school from Wisconsin,” said math league Coach Jean Nightingale. The competition is completely online. Each school gets a set amount of time to complete a set of questions.

In addition to this, the team will participate in Minnesota’s State Math League Meet in March. Nightingale and her team have high hopes for the upcoming season.
