More progress made in presidential search

With Dr. Tift retiring as BSM’s president at the end of this school year, the presidential search committee has been working tirelessly to find the perfect candidate for BSM’s next president. Much progress has been made in the presidential search due to the help of BSM’s search partner, Chandler Group, according to Board member, Mrs. Sheila Letscher.

After narrowing the pool of candidates to the ones that best fit the position profile, the presidential search committee has begun to interview the remaining candidates. “We’ve begun the in-person interview process with a handful of these top candidates, and this process is ongoing and includes group and one-on-one interviews, presentations by the candidates, and other candidate reviews,” Mrs. Letscher said. With this interviewing process in place, the presidential search committee is on track to finding a new president for BSM sometime this spring.

This presidential search has been a positive experience for the committee as they have come across excellent candidates for the position. “We’ve met some impressive candidates, and it’s clear that BSM’s excellent reputation in the Twin Cities and beyond has captured the interest of some very accomplished professionals,” Mrs. Letscher said.
