Students of Cretin-Derham Hall have rallied together in support of their classmates. The school community has faced three student deaths since this school year began. The students decided upon a purple out, after their school color purple. The purple out took place on Friday, December 6 to honor all those who have died after the most recent on November 28th.“The idea of a purple out is to show our solidarity as a community, that we can remember those who have died and lift their spirits as well as our own,” Chris Babcock, technology teacher, cross country, and track and field coach at CDH, said.

The CDH community hopes to continue its support network as a Catholic and spiritual group. “My hope is that we will remember them, and the connections that we have formed because of their loss and carry that sense of community forward as a foundation for this year and the years to come as we welcome others into our community,” Babcock said.
