On Saturday, November 30, the Benilde-St. Margaret’s girls’ hockey team traveled to Braemar arena to face off against the 6th ranked Edina Hornets. The Red Knights looked as if they were going to continue their winning ways following the first period in which the Red Knights got off to a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Ali Praus and Kelly Pannek. However, that was the last time Benilde-St. Margaret’s was able to beat Hornet goalie, Boomer Sonnek for a goal. Led by a hat trick from junior forward and leading scorer, Taylor Williamson, the Hornets scored 4 unanswered goals in the final two periods to earn their ninth win of the season. The Red Knights fell to 5-1-1 on the season and will play Lakeville North on Friday, December 6th.
