Mr. Lex raises money through No Shave November

This month, male students and teachers at BSM have begun storing away their razors and unleashing their facial hair for a new-age tradition known as No Shave November. Among the participants of the festivities is chemistry teacher Mark Lex who is not only growing out a voluminous mustache for his students’ enjoyment, but raising money for men’s cancer. “I didn’t know much about it, so I Googled it, and found out that it was started by someone who wanted to increase awareness for men’s cancer. So I thought why not?” Mr. Lex said. He has made a pact with his students to continue the growth of his mustache as long as he receives at least five dollars a day for the cause. Beginning last Friday, November 1, Mr. Lex plans to raise at least $100 by the end of this month.
