On Saturday, October 26, the Benilde-St. Margaret’s boys football team defeated The Blake School 56-7 in the section 6AAAA semi-final game. The host Red Knights utilized their depth to race out to a 50-0 lead by the end of the first half. Running backs Peter Watkins (senior) and Austin Robertson (junior) both ran for two touchdowns while senior quarterback Keaton Studsrud converted a 75-yard rushing touchdown. “We played really well in the first half, and we lived up to the expectations and didn’t back down. The guys that stepped in for the second half did well, too. Overall it was a great team win, and it was fun to play well in such a highly anticipated game,” senior Jack Sims said.

Next up, BSM will face off against No.1 seeded DeLaSalle on Friday, October 31 at 7pm in the section final. This will be the Red Knight’s second trip to DeLaSalle this season, the first game resulted in a 35-14 victory for the Islanders.
