Hoping to improve upon their journalistic skill and bond with the Minnesota community,  Knight Errant staff members attended the Minnesota State Journalism Convention – a day long event put on by the Minnesota High School Press Association. Students had the option to attend a variety of informative sessions on different aspects of journalism, listened to keynote speaker Boyd Huppert, and went to an award ceremony. The Knight Errant was awarded All State Gold, both print and online editions, fifth place in the Best of Show competition for print, and first place for online. Many staff members received individual awards for work done last year; a full list of individual honors is below.
