Taher to serve “state fair-style” corn on the cob at lunch, Thursday

On Thursday of this week, Taher Food Service Company will be changing up the lunchroom routine by giving away free corn on the cob drenched in butter and impaled on a stick. “This was a way that we could incorporate locally grown farm foods into the lunch program. Also, we are trying to form more communication between the students and the Taher staff. Those are our two major goals this year,” Cafeteria Manager Lynn Lynch developer of the idea, said. While Student Council and Class Board members have committed to helping shuck the corn in preparation for distribution on Thursday, Taher is inviting all students to come join after school on Wednesday at the loading dock.
