John Lager, Sam Lynch, Jack Sims, and Keaton Studsrud signing their Letters of Intent. The middle seat was thought to belong to Spencer Naas, who will be signing his this April.

The lobby of Benilde-St. Margaret’s was buzzing Wednesday morning as family and friends of four Red Knight football players signed their letters of intent to their respective colleges. Senior quarterback Keaton Studsrud is on his way to the University of North Dakota to play Division I football after having one of the best QB careers in Red Knight history. Wide receiver/safety Sam Lynch and tight end Jack Sims look forward to spending the next four years together as they are both going to the University of Minnesota-Duluth. The Bulldogs look forward to having the crafty style of Lynch lined up in the slot and the use of Sims’ 6’5, 215 pound frame in the red zone. Another big, talented wide receiver, John Lager, is taking his gifted 6’5 body to the next level at Dartmouth College.

These four Red Knight football players join six girls’ hockey players who signed in the fall and basketball player Grace Coughlin, giving the class of 2014 eleven Division 1 and Division 2 commits. Senior hockey player, Spencer Naas, who many expected to sign today, announced he will be signing his letter of intent to the University of Connecticut this April.
