Teachers allowed privilege of wearing shorts in response to heat

Today, a rare sight graced the halls of Benilde- St. Margaret’s: the knees of our male teachers. “Teacher Shorts Day”, as the legendary holiday has become affectionately known, took the building by storm. “I think shorts day is great,” Mr. Dave Herbst said. Some teachers believe it has happened before, others swear they have never been allowed to wear shorts, but all taking advantage of the opportunity appreciate it. “As a teacher in an unairconditioned classroom that faces the western sun it can get quite hot in here,” Mr. Tom Backen said. “It’s very rare that we’re allowed to wear shorts — it’s a rule I don’t really understand.”
