Rant: Pineapple

Pineapples displease me on multiple levels. First of all, their interior color: yellow is falsely cheery. It’s the signature color of a poorly functioning liver. Secondly, every time I eat pineapple my tongue ends up throbbing in pain for no known reason. Clearly this fruit is out to get us.

Love your (throbbing) tongue in cheek humor, Jackie.

Pineapple is one of the favorite fruits of most of
the Asian Rim–oh, and mine too.
