The Red Knights marched into the Hibbing Memorial Ice Arena on Saturday, Dec 22, and dominated the inferior Hibbing team in an 8-0 victory. Junior Nate Meyer scored two goals, leading BSM to its fifth straight road victory.

Grant Besse had two goals in the game as well, and senior goaltenders Andrew Sprang and Paul Lundberg shut out the Bluejackets with a combined effort of 24 saves. Heading home from the Iron Range 2-0, the Red Knights will not play until December 27 against Lakeville North in the opening game of the Sports Authority Holiday Classic at the St. Louis Park Rec Center. Benilde-St. Margaret’s lost in the championship of that tournament last year to Maple Grove.
