Boys’ basketball gives up just 21 points in victory

The boys’ basketball team jumped out to an early 15-2 lead, setting the tone for their 82-21 blowout of North Branch on Saturday, Jan 28. The Red Knights stifling defense held the Vikings to 11 points in the first half and 10 points in the second. Despite only playing in the first half, senior guards Isaiah Zierden, Will Dunn, and Isaiah Gray led the team in scoring with 19, 18, and 14 points respectively. Senior forward Sanjay Lumpkin did not play in the game, due to an ankle injury suffered in a game against Chisago Lakes. The Red Knights hope for Lumpkin to be healthy for their next game on February 3 as they face Spring Lake Park, the number two team in class 3A.
