It is interesting to see their dynamics with their partners and how this season will go. All of the celebrities are incredibly talented; even those with no dance experience have shocked me.
This season is filled with lots of fan-favorite celebrities. My personal favorite is Alix Earle because I love her bubbly, determined personality. This demeanor will significantly benefit her experience on the show, and her positive attitude will help her succeed in learning complex dance styles. Moreover, Earle also has a competitive side, which will help motivate her to keep working hard throughout the competition. However, many people have been fangirling over Robert Irwin, the son of zoo conservationist Steve Irwin. Viewers have loved his charm and contagious positivity. Irwin shocked me with his surprising dancing abilities. He was an excellent choice for the show, as he stands out from many actors, influencers, athletes, and singers for his work in animal conservation.
Nevertheless, this season, many of the celebrity cast members have previous dance experience. For example, Whitney Leavitt, from the show Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, attended college to study dance. This is unfair to the other contestants, as she has a considerable advantage compared to the other contestants. Another celebrity with previous dance experience is Hilaria Baldwin, a wellness influencer. She has been competing in Latin ballroom dance for years and even won against professional dancer Emma Slater back in 2005. Baldwin hasn’t been dancing since she had children, but I still feel it’s unfair, as she has had the basics down for years. Overall, I think it’s unfair for contestants to compete if they have prior dance experience, because it gives them an upper hand due to their familiarity with the music’s rhythm.
In general, this year of Dancing with the Stars has been one of the most popular due to the excellent celebrity cast. The casting team selected a diverse range of celebrities, each with a distinct personality and life. The decisions of the cast have made this season one of the best and most entertaining yet.
