Edgy guitar paired with undulating percussion provides the perfect backdrop to the stellar vocals of lead singer Alex Turner. Contrasting lyrics leave one questioning whether or not this is a love song. The answer? A love song, albeit a very despondent one, showcased through breathtaking falsetto chorus lines. Veteran Monkey fans will enjoy the similar sound to “R U Mine?” released in early 2012. “Do I Wanna Know?” is one of the first singles off of the band’s upcoming album “AM,” expected to be released September 9th.
