Day and McGill lead Red Knights to victory

After letting a 7-0 lead slip away from them against Wayzata, the Red Knights responded with a 6-1 win over the Fridley Tigers. Sophomore Connor Day went six innings allowing only one run on six hits, but the star of the game was junior Mikey McGill who went 4-4 and hit his first homerun of the season. Junior Michael Kaminski went 2-4 with two RBIs and Dan Labosky and Nathan Hanks also had multi-hit games for the Red Knights with Labosky extending his hitting streak to 10 games. The Red Knights are going through a stretch of games where they play six games in seven days and will face the North Branch Vikings on Thursday May 9.
