Pannek named to All Metro first team for girls’ hockey

Named on Sunday, the Star Tribune’s All Metro first team for girls’ hockey includes Benilde-St. Margaret’s junior forward Kelly Pannek. She was included in this team because of her 31 goals and 45 assists. The team was chosen based on past nominations from coaches in the metro area. There was also multiple conversations between a panel of coaches that observed these players. There are five other girls that were chosen to be a part of this team including Kelly’s teammates from the IIHF U18 Women’s World Championship team Dani Cameranesi of Blake, Sydney Baldwin of Minnetonka, and Amy Menke of Shakopee.
