Boys’ basketball falls short in Holiday Tournament

The Red Knights started the Eden Prairie Holiday Tournament with a 79-54 loss to section opponent Chaska. The Hawks got on the Red Knights early, taking advantage of defensive miscues by the Red Knights, and took a 41-26 lead into halftime. The fifteen point lead was too much for the Red Knights to overcome and the Hawks won 79-54. Chaska had five players in double-figures, led by senior Gavin Bjorklund with 15 points. Jayson Edwards had a game-high 17 points and junior Nick Birney added 14 for the Red Knights.
