The boy’s basketball team picked up their second win of the season with a 47-45 win over the Rosemount Irish. The Red Knights strong defense was a big part in their victory. The Irish jumped out to a 9-0 lead early, but the Red Knights recovered and took a 27-22 lead into halftime. The second half was a back-and-forth battle with both teams within a few points the entire half. In the end, the Red Knights took the lead with a minute left and finished the game. Senior Chris Bell, returning from injury, led the team with ten points off the bench while the leading scorer was Rosemount’s Garrett Goetz with 22 points. The Red Knights will open up conference play on December 21 with St. Francis coming to the Haben Center.
