Thanksgiving prayer service provides multiple perspectives

Students painted canvases of modern-day saints which were displayed behind the main table where the presiders of the prayer service sat.

In past years, BSM has held prayer services the day before Thanksgiving break, and while that tradition rang true on Tuesday, November 20, the structure this year intended to expose students and visitors to different denominations sharing similar views on the holiday. In addition to BSM’s chaplain, Fr. Tim Wozniak, the campus ministry department brought in Rabbi Olitzky from Beth-El Synagogue, Reverend Elaine Barber and BSM senior Jonathan Sutton to represent the Jewish, Episcopalian and  Foursquare Gospel faiths.
