Technology department applies for award from Apple

This year, the Benilde-St. Margaret’s technology department applied to receive the Apple Distinguished Schools Award, highlighting the school’s use of technology to enhance and transform classroom learning. In the past, Apple has used BSM as an example for other schools, with our one to one program and creative use of Apple technology. To qualify for an application, representatives from Apple conducted a preliminary interview of members of the BSM technology department. After this phase, an application was sent in, taking the form of a multimedia iBook. The application highlights BSM’s creative and innovative technology use. Though receiving the award brings no monetary gain, it would be a great accomplishment for the hard-working technology department.
