Boys’ and girls’ CC miss out on State

The cross country team ended its season on Wednesday with their section 6AA meet at Gale Woods in Minnetrista. And while no BSM runner will be advancing to State, the Red Knights were able to defeat two of their top rivals, St. Louis Park and Cooper. Leading the Red Knights to victory was junior Andy Renier, who placed 23rd overall and finished first out of all the BSM runners. Even though he missed the State qualifications by 27 seconds, Renier maintained a positive attitude after the race. “All my hard work in the season paid off to the point where I reached all my goals I set with an amazing coach and wonderful running companions,” Renier said. Amanda Kautzer, a standout freshman runner, took 30th place in the girls’ 4k.
