Filter changed due to March Madness

With the NCAA men’s basketball tournament beginning this week, students have began filling out their brackets and creating pools with their friends and family. No matter their excitement for the tournament, these students will not be able to stream the games online during school because of an increased filter on these websites. Because so many students would watch the basketball games if the websites were unblocked, the bandwidth would not be able to handle the streaming and would crash, leaving students and teachers unable to use the Internet for school-related purposes. “We know that students want to watch the games, so we are in the process of setting up TVs in the cafeteria so that people can watch them in their free hours without disrupting the bandwidth,” said Dr. Skinner.
