The girls’ basketball team took on the Holy Angels Stars in the section quarterfinals on Tuesday, February 28, winning by a score of 65-51 and advancing them to the Section Semifinals. Despite playing without sophomore guard Grace Coughlin, the the team’s main play maker, senior forward Khadijah Shumpert scored a game high 19 points, and senior guard Josie Dillon tied the Stars top scorer with 18 points. The Stars took a technical foul late in the second half, contributing to the Red Knights’ 7 point lead at halftime. The Red Knights extended their lead to 15 midway through the second half, and finished the game ahead by 14. The team will play the Holy Family Fire in the Semifinals.
