With both the girls’ and boys’ soccer teams in the state tournament, the Red Knights have the possibility of bringing home two trophies next week. At the State Banquet last Sunday, eight Red Knights were honored with All-State or All-State Honorable Mention. Seniors Paul Graupner, Kevin Labahn, Johnny Mulvahill, Peggy Renier, and Mikayla Coulombe and sophomore Kelly Pannek were selected for the All State team, and Brendan Schember and Dana Buckhorn recieived All State Honorable Mention. Senior Johnny Mulvahill also was awarded the highest honor in high school soccer: the Mr. Soccer 2011 award, which is awarded to the best boys’ soccer player in Class 1A. The boys’ quarterfinal game is Thursday at 5:30 at St. Cloud State University Stadium, and the girls’ game is at 5:30 on Friday at Roseville Area High School. The school has offered fan buses to both games, leaving after school around four.
