MEA break brings relaxation to stressed students

During a regular school week, BSM students come to school on Monday fearing the long week ahead of them. Due to Minnesota Education Association meetings, students have MEA break and are given have a chance to relax and enjoy a long weekend. Students across the state of Minnesota had this past Thursday and Friday off of school. Some juniors and seniors used this time to visit colleges, while other students headed to the cabin for a weekend getaway. “Going up north is really relaxing because of the views. It’s not as busy as the city, and you don’t have to worry about homework or tests up there,” said freshman Megan Ortizcazarin. BSM students’ excitement could be felt throughout the school last Wednesday afternoon as they shared their plans for MEA break.
