Under heavy winds, the undefeated girls’ soccer team dominated rival Orono Spartans, beating them by a score of 3-0. This highly anticipated game started off slow and controlled, until junior forward Dana Buckhorn was tripped near the Spartan goal, awarding the Red Knights a penalty kick. Sophomore defender Kelly Pannek scored with a clear shot into the top right corner of the net. With only ten minutes left in the half, Buckhorn scored the Red Knight’s second goal off of a throw in from junior midfielder Haley Jerabek. Halfway through the second half, senior midfielder Peggy Renier scored the third and final goal for the Red Knights. Senior goalie Mikayla Coloumbe had yet another shut out, her fourth of the season.
