Students prep for AP testing

In early May, 180 BSM students will take 333 AP tests, giving those students the opportunity to earn credits toward college classes. Even if BSM doesn’t offer a particular AP class, students who want to take that subject’s test are given permission. Although AP French is the only class that requires its students to take the test, all AP students are encouraged to take the tests. “If a student scores a 3, 4, or 5 out of 5, they are eligible to earn credit towards college. It costs less to take these tests in high school than [the courses] in college,” said Mrs. Amanda Anderson, senior high counselor. All of the AP tests will take place during the first and second weeks in May.
