Charlie Deterding, Staff Writer
The great Tywin Lannister once said, “Never forget what you are. The rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor and it can never be used against you.” Lets just say that the devilishly handsome, particularly gifted, and all-around phenomenal gentleman named Charlie Deterding has always worn his armor. Some may view him as a Hill-Billy hand fisher or the Wolverine with a luscious beard. Others may see him as a Vietnamese rice planter with his straw hat that he can frequently be seen wearing. These people must not be aware of his daily excursions. Whether it’s painting in Paris with his long-term acquaintance Pablo Picasso, sparring with Conor McGregor in Dublin, nurturing dragons with Daenerys Targaryen in Westeros, or meandering the Amazon River with Jeremy Wade, It can safely be assumed that Cha’s presence has been demanded by more important people. In the midst of this fame, by some extraordinary happening, he finds time to write for the Knight Errant. In the eyes of most, he is considered to be the Edgar Allan of newspaper stories. He also finds time to hang out with his “normal friends” at BSM, be an average football player (only to maintain his fatherly figure), and attempts to excel in academics.
