As temperatures rise and school is only a few weeks from letting out for summer, excitement about concerts has also risen. Many big-name artists are making their way to the Midwest, from DJs to country artists. There are plenty of concerts and festivals to bring endless fun and music to the summer of 2025.
One of the most anticipated summer events is the Breakaway Music Festival at Allianz Field in St. Paul. This year, it has drawn many people to purchase tickets as the headliners are John Summit and Tiesto, who promise high-energy sets that will make the atmosphere like no other and guarantee an endless amount of memories. Known for its immersive festival atmosphere, complete with light shows and interactive experiences, Breakaway is more than just a concert; it’s a full summer escape.
Country fans have plenty to look forward to as well. WE Fest, one of Minnesota’s largest country music festivals, is bringing many big artists that people are especially looking forward to seeing live. Artists such as Jon Pardi, Megan Moroney, and Treaty Oak Revival will all be making their way to Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, to put on amazing performances. Another country music festival is Winstock, in Winsted, Minnesota, which is a bit more local. Artists such as Thomas Rhett and Jordan Davis will be headlining and will be sure to draw large crowds.
Another big concert heading for the Midwest is Morgan Wallen, who will be performing at the Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin. Although it isn’t directly in Minnesota, many people are willing to make the five-hour drive to see one of the best country artists. Another concert being held this summer at Camp Randall Stadium is Coldplay. Coldplay is known to have a huge production of lights, colors, and even confetti at their concerts, which draws many people to buy tickets, especially because Coldplay does not tour very often.
With such a wide variety of artists and festivals on the schedule, the summer concert scene for Minnesota and Wisconsin is shaping up to be one of the best and most exciting in recent years. There is really something for everyone to enjoy, whether it is traveling up north or even traveling over to Wisconsin to watch the best of the best.
