Results are in from Le Grand Concours, the annual French test sponsered by the American Association of Teachers of French. “We had very wonderful results this year,” said Dr. Sue Cipolle. Eighth grader Jennifer Vogl placed first in the state and eighth in the nation. Fellow eighth grader Lauren Effertz followed close behind Vogl to grab 2nd in state. Junior, Katie Busch placed eleventh in state for the Level 3 test. Dr. Cipolle explained that the test provides a challenge for very gifted students and gives them the chance to stretch their knowledge a bit. “We invite students at the top of their classes if they want to participate,” said Dr. Cipolle.
