Sam Flumerfelt, staff writer
Ever since he can remember, Sam has been in the lime light. He made his acting debut at the tender age of 5 when he performed in several advertisements for fruit juice. After a few years in the commercial industry, he headed to the bright lights of Broadway where he performed in Billy Elliot and Les Misérables. His performance wowed audiences across the world and tickets sold like hot cakes as everyone clamoured to see this shining new “star.” A year later, Sam received a call from Steven Spielberg, asking him to perform in his new movie. It was off to Hollywood for Sam! After many months of filming, memorizing lines, and rubbing elbows with celebrities, it was time for the Academy Awards. Sam was nominated for best actor. On the night of the Awards, something grave loomed in Sam’s future. When they opened the envelope, they pronounced the best actor, “SAM FLUMERFELT!” As Sam stood up to receive the award, someone shouted “GOOD LUCK!” Not hearing the comment, Sam fell and found that he broke his leg! Sam and everyone else knew that this was the end of his acting career, and so it was. Many months later, he stumbled upon a group of journalists, who invited Sam to write for a school’s newspaper, the Knight Errant. Little did Sam know that this newspaper would be award winning and recognized around the world, in which Sam could make his debut, once again.
