Famous rapper Future dropped his latest album titled, “I Never Liked You”. After announcing his album over instagram on April 13th, Future released the album on April 29th and released the “I Never Liked You (Deluxe)” on May 3rd. Future’s album is projected to debut at #1 on Billboard’s top 200 list and is expected to sell 175-200k units all in the first week. This is Future’s first album drop since his last smash hit album, “High Off Life”, released in 2020, which also did very well.

I Never Liked You is a well produced and well written album and it is one of my favorite Future albums that I’ve ever listened to. Future had many great producers such as; 808 Mafia, ATL jacob, and also Wheezy who have been on many Future songs in the past and brought their A-game to this album. The features on the album included the likes of Drake, Kanye, Est Gee, Gunna, Young Thug, Tems, and Kodak Black. My favorite feature has to be the Drake or surprisingly the Est Gee feature. Est Gee had a nice verse on the song “Chickens”, and it surprised me because I don’t listen to Est Gee that much.

My top three songs on I Never Liked You, have to be; “PUFFIN ON ZOOTIEZ”, “WAIT FOR U”, and “CHICKENS” in that order. I like Future and his normal flows on his songs, but when he switched it up and decided to rap on slower melodies and beats, it surprised me a lot and I really liked the flows he decided to use. He used these slower flows on “PUFFIN ON ZOOTIEZ” and “WAIT FOR U”. The Drake and Tems feature was on, “WAIT FOR U”, and those were the perfect fits for that track and that’s why it is one of my favorites. Wheezy produced “CHICKENS”, and when Future and Wheezy link up for a track, it is hard to make a bad song.

The Deluxe album had six extra songs and they matched the vibe of the album as a whole. It included features from Babyface Ray, 42 Dugg, and Lil Baby. These features all mixed well in the tracks that they were put in and the deluxe was also produced really well.

Overall, “I Never Liked You”, is one of my favorite Future albums. The production, lyrics, and flows on the album were all great and will go down as one of Future’s best pieces of work.
