One of the newest members of the BSM Faculty is Ms. Maistrovich, who teaches Junior High English.

With 12 years of teaching experience, Ms. Nancy Maistrovich joined the BSM English department this year. A local who grew up in Apple Valley, Maistrovich is excited to continue her teaching career in the junior high.

Maistrovich loves to teach English, especially when it has to do with reading. She wants to share the love she has with literature to those she is teaching. “As I have gotten into my teaching career, I realized I really love helping students discover their love of reading and writing, and helping them realize they are good at reading and writing,” Maistrovich said.

It was always in the back of my mind to apply for a job [at BSM.]

Maistrovich came to BSM from the word of one of her friends. “One of my friends worked at BSM and said amazing things about it. It was always in the back of my mind to apply for a job if one became available,” Maistrovich said.

Outside of the classroom Maistrovich enjoys sailing Lake Minnetonka, which she has been doing her entire life, competing since she was in middle school. She also loves to cook and read, of course. “I also spend a lot of time with my family. Another hobby of mine is watching the Iowa Hawkeye football team,” Maistrovich said.
