Freshmen attend first overnight retreat

Over the years, the freshman retreat has been a wonderful place to build community and get to know your fellow classmates. On Saturday, January 31, and Sunday, February 1, the BSM class of 2018 took part in their annual retreat, which was led by senior peer ministers. Mr. Schmidt, who organized the retreat, was happy to hear positive reactions about the retreat. “We had a lot of positive feedback from the peer ministers who led the retreat,” Schmidt said. However, many freshmen were unable to attend. Freshman Hannah Vitelli was among those who did not attend the retreat. “I had a hockey game. I couldn’t go because of scheduling conflicts,” Vitelli said. Perhaps one of the larger reasons for not attending was scheduling and making time for the retreat.
