The BSM girls’ tennis team had a busy week playing three different matches against conference opponents Bloomington Kennedy and Chanhassen along with crosstown rivals Breck. One of BSM’s biggest assets this week came in the form of freshman Frankie Trella. Despite her young age, Trella has been playing on varsity since seventh grade and her experience has showed in her recent matches beating a player from Hopkins by a score of 6-1 and 6-4, sweeping her matchup against Chaska 6-0 and 6-0, and beating her Breck opponent 6-4 and 6-1. Because of her powerful forehand and hard work on the court, she has been rightfully named BSM Athlete of the Week for the week of September 8-14.
