Continuing the week of Homecoming festivities, the girls showed their athleticism in the annual Girls’ Powerpuff Football Game. Braving the frigid weather on September 10, red, blue, yellow, and green teams faced off to win the prestigious title of Powerpuff champion and earn their grade 100 spirit points. Seniors took home the first place prize after defeating the juniors and the freshmen, who had previously beaten the sophomores. The most memorable game of the night was the senior vs. junior game, where the senior girls stopped the juniors from coming anywhere near the endzone. “The juniors ran the ball back into their own zone, giving us, the seniors, possession of the ball, and letting us score,” said senior Emma Van Der Heide.
