Senior Rachel Thorstenson signed a letter of intent with the University of North Dakota to dive for them next fall. With friends already on the team, Thorstenson looks to have a great time while reaching her goals of reaching diving championships. Division one diving requires a lot of commitment and training as divers spring off higher heights and perform more spins and tricks then in high school. Balancing her time diving and doing school work will come as a challenge, but teachers at UND work hard with their student athletes. “I think I’ll be able to balance my schedule because it will be fit around my diving time. I am very excited. I came further than I thought I would,” Thorstenson said. Also committing, senior Emma Lysne signed a letter of intent with Jamestown College to play volleyball next fall.
