Once the entirety of the muck that Minnesotans call snow is gone, small blades of grass poke through the dirt and stand proud as one of the first signs of spring.They are also one of the earliest transitions to summer and provide a cool alternative to sand on an atrociously hot day. However, they most importantly remind Minnesotans that there’s hope beneath those monstrous snowbanks.
