Benilde-St. Margaret’s hosted its yearly grandparents’ mass on Friday, offering a special breakfast and church service for students and their family. Roughly 500 students and 700 grandparents attended the event this year. The mass, a tradition celebrated for over 15 years, emphasizes the importance of family in a student’s life and gives relatives an opportunity to learn about BSM. “I think [the mass shows] that we’re a whole community [for] the whole family. We want to include everybody,” said Ms. Mary Fran O’Keefe, one of the event’s coordinators. The mass began at 8:30 a.m., while students not attending followed a late-start schedule.
