BSM alumna joins staff as addition the religion department
Due to the departure of several teachers in the theology department last school year, Benilde-St. Margaret’s welcomed Claire Shea, a graduate of BSM, to fill in the position. Before coming to Minnesota, Ms. Shea taught Theology and English at Bishop Byrne High School in Memphis, Tennessee for four years, where she also served as their Dean of Mission. This year, Ms. Shea will teach both the Paschal Mystery and Morality classes for sophomores and juniors and also coach the BSM speech team, of which she is a former member. “This school has so many wonderful opportunities for its students, and I’m super excited to be a part of it,” Ms. Shea said.

I am sure Claire will be a wonderful asset to the Theology department, but I am so excited for the speech team to have such a wonderful leader back in action. Claire is the reason I joined the team, I cannot wait for a whole knew generation to look up to her.

Welcome, Claire! What a great addition to the BSM faculty. As a former faculty member, I wish you well and believe you have found your home. The students are fortunate to have such a dedicated teacher. Madame Cipolle
