On March 28, 2025, President of Benilde-St. Margaret’s Danielle Hermanny announced the hire of Dan Wrobleski as the new Senior High Principal. He will begin his role at the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year and current interim principal Matt Weingartz will resume his position as co-assistant principal.
The search process for this position began in January of 2025 and included multiple interviews with current faculty and staff members as well as a few students. “We posted the position, and then we did zoom interviews, and we did some small in person interviews, and then the final interview, where the three final candidates came to campus and had interviews with different panels,” President Danielle Hermanny said. Wrobleski’s extensive experience in education made him stand out as a candidate. From teaching to coaching, Wrobleski has dipped his toe into many different academic pools making him the perfect choice for this essential position. “Mr. Wrobleski has a lot of experience. He’s been a teacher, he’s been a coach, an assistant principal and a principal in different schools, so has a lot of deep experience, kind of across the board,” Hermanny said.
One change that will occur because of this new hire is that Weingartz will be returning to his former assistant principal position this time joining both Michael Kautzman and Matthew McMerty-Brummer. In the past, assistant principal has been a dual position for the most part but hopefully this addition will provide for more face time for each student with their assistant principal. “I think having three assistant principals gives them the opportunity to kind of dive more deeply into needs of the school and needs of the students and supporting faculty as well,” Hermanny said.
Even with this new administration shift, BSM will remain a rigorous college-prep school aimed at helping each student become the best versions of themselves. “Every time you have a new principal, they bring in their own skill set their own expertise, their own areas that they like to focus on, but I think BSM is committed to providing students with a academically rigorous high school experience, grounded in our Catholic identity, and that’s not going to change,” Hermanny said.
