Many students at Benilde-St. Margaret’s work out at Lifetime and take a variety of classes. Lifetime classes have been gaining more popularity throughout the years and it can be difficult to find the perfect type for you. With classes ranging from strength training to yoga classes in a heated room, there are classes that you will enjoy.
Warrior Sculpt is by far my favorite class offered at Lifetime. It tones and sculpts you while giving you bits of cardio throughout the hour-long class. This workout offers a full-body workout; meanwhile, mixing aspects of yoga. Warrior Sculpt happens in a heated room which enhances the workout, making it a unique class. The soundtracks played throughout the class are my favorite; they offer upbeat, motivational music. The environment in this class is unmatched as there are colored lights. This workout leaves you feeling stronger mentally and physically. Overall, if you’re looking for a challenge that builds strength in a heated room, this class would be perfect for you.
My next favorite class is the Life Barre class. These classes build strength and alignment. All the movements you do will focus on muscular definition by using dumbbells, and resistance bands on and off the barre. This class focuses on all muscle groups of your body and offers a variety of different exercises, such as squats, abdominal exercises, and arm exercises. During this class, you definitely can feel your muscles shaking and burning, but this class targets every muscle group. In all, this class helps you gain stronger muscles, and if you love a barre class it’s a perfect fit.
Another class I enjoy is Shred. Shred offers upper body, lower core, and cardio. It’s a circuit-style workout made up of one-minute exercise sets that target all your major muscles. As most of the focus is strength, you will still get your heart rate up with a one-minute athletic cardio burst. This class is really beneficial as it offers everything ranging from strength building to cardio drills. The instructors are extremely encouraging and supportive during the workout. Generally, this class has a special atmosphere and is perfect for you if you need a full-body intense workout.
Every Lifetime class has a different experience or vibe. They bring a sense of encouragement and intensity at different levels for everyone. In general, the classes at Lifetime give you a great workout in different styles of moving your body.
