I believe fall is a calming and enjoyable time of year; there are so many fun activities to participate in. My favorite fall activities are those that I get to do with my friends and family every year, which include going apple picking and attending pumpkin patches, as well as pumpkin carving and buying fall drinks from Starbucks. And even with the autumn season coming to an end, there are still lots of activities for students to do.
I understand why some people may treat fall like a throw-away season. It feels pretty short, and people often tend to focus on winter which is very long here in Minnesota. But I believe that fall is a calm time of the year for people to relax and have fun. There are so many fun things to do during the season that make it so special.
This year, my family has gone to the Minnetonka Apple Orchard, carved pumpkins, and bought an assortment of Starbucks fall drinks. The Minnetonka Orchard is one of my favorite places to go during autumn. My family goes there every year and it offers many different activities for the whole family, including hay rides, live music, hot apple cider, classic apple picking, and my favorite apple donuts. I would recommend this orchard to other students and their families or friends because there is definitely something for everyone.
The Halloween season gives people the opportunity to be festive. For example, my family loves to carve pumpkins each year and we already carved them this year for Halloween. I enjoy being creative with the design and switching it up each year; that’s always one of my highlights of the season.
I also like ordering fall drinks at Starbucks. My personal favorites are the iced pumpkin cream chai latte or the pumpkin spice frappuccino. I always order one of these during this season whenever I go to Starbucks because they only go from August 23rd to November 1st. I think having these drinks gets me and others into the fall spirit and makes the season more enjoyable.
All in all, I find fall to be such a beautiful time of year and love all of the festivities that come with it. I hope some of these fall activities inspire students to take advantage of this beautiful season.
